LITTLE STUDIO ROLLING OUT LARGE SLATE
International distribution rep firm Little Studio Films is moving into production on a slate of projects, owners Alexia Melocchi and Alexandra Yacovlef said at the American Film Market. The Beverly Hills based company will executive produce the $60 Million Civil War epic "Recall to Honor".
Fred Schepisi is attache to helm and co-produce. Little Studio Films is also prepping the $35 Million biopic "Spellbinder", which centers on violinist Nicolo Paganini, and "International Departures", which features five short stories taking place in airport lounges. The company is also in production on the political docu "Red, White and Blue: A tale of Two Americas".

RWB continues to shoot in Chicago (Todd Park Mohr of Big Head Todd and the Monsters was interviewed on June 24).  The crew will take to the road and head for a few days in Iowa City, Iowa on July 16, after interviewing Mike Timmins of Cowboy Junkies on July 15 at the Park West in Chicago.

CENTRAL BOOKING is now cast and ready to shoot!  “The Sopranos” ‘s AL SAPIENZA leads the cast in the role of veteran police officer Marty Johnson, while Michael Bergin of “Baywatch” fame plays a rookie cop under his wing. Former NY Giants Quarterback JARROD BUNCH plays a Celebrity Football Star that is booked in the San Diego Central Detention facility with a DUI charge  a day before the Super Bowl.

Directors Eric Anderson and Amelia Dellos began shooting their film, RED, WHITE & BLUE: A TALE OF TWO AMERICAS (http://www.redwhiteandbluemovie.com) and are currently working through a contract with Second City to interview cast members of a show called RED SCARE, which tackles "red state vs. blue state" issues with outrageous humor.
 
The filmmakers have also decided to do a second, short companion documentary for the eventual DVD in which they interview some of the recording artists who are contributing music to the film.  So far, they've confirmed interviews with Big Head Todd and the Monsters, David Zollo and Dar Williams, and have a tentative date set with Ben Folds for later in the summer.

The short story by Grand Literary UNESCO Winner Valerio Manfredi, entitled ROUTE 66,  has been optioned  by STORYTELLER PRODS in Italy. Alan Scher has been hired to adapt this exciting dramatic thriller into a screenplay.

Sheri Keasler’s romantic comedy screenplay, “THE RINGER”,  gets  optioned by   producer Joel Rice of PILAF PRODUCTIONS. Joel Rice has produced several movies for network and cable television.
Alexia Melocchi    secures the coveted  film “BETWEEN STRANGERS”  by acclaimed  director Edoardo Ponti as the Opening Night Film of  the 2003 Italian Film Festival/Los Angeles Italian Film Awards. The  Red Carpet Premiere will  take place on May 29th at the ARC LIGHT CINEMAS in Hollywood.
